About Nikeyla Johnson
Attorney Nikeyla Johnson is the Owner and Managing Partner of Johnson Law Firm. Ms. Johnson began her legal career at a large Texas firm where she worked for a number of years before branching off to start her practice. She has a wide array of legal experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, with a specific emphasis on providing counsel and representation to clients in matters involving contractual disputes, real estate disputes, business torts, partnership and management disputes, employment disputes, international disputes, personal injury and property damage, medical malpractice and maritime matters including arrests and attachments. Ms. Johnsonâs experience also includes representing clients in mediation and arbitration processes. In addition, Ms. Johnson also has experience in patent, bankruptcy, insurance, oil and gas, family and criminal law. Ms. Johnson has represented clients in a variety of industries, including transportation, energy, chemical, credit card processing, software, charter schools as well as individuals, as both a plaintiff and defense attorney. Attorney Johnson earned her Bachelorâs degree from Spelman College in May of 2001. She earned her Juris Doctorate, with Summa Cum Laude Honors, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in May of 2008. Ms.. Johnson was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review where she served as the Notes and Comments Editor during her tenure. Ms. Johnson received numerous academic scholarships and awards while in law school. Ms. Johnson also served as an Intern and Policy Analyst for State Representatives Garnet Coleman and Juan Garcia, during the 80th Legislative Session, as a member of the Texas Legislative Internship Program sponsored by Senator Rodney Ellis. She received special recognition for her service to the people of the State of Texas, as outlined in Senate Resolution 734, House Resolution 2828 and House Resolution 2951, passed by the Texas Legislature in the Spring of 2007.
