He currently serves his community as the Immediate Past President and Executive Board Member of Seacoast Mental Health, a community mental health facility primarily serving Rockingham County in New Hampshire. He is a past board member and Executive Board Member for New Hampshire Legal Assistance and the former Vice President of the Board for the New Hampshire Legal Advice and Referral Center. Attorney Pendleton has twice been on the NH Bar Association's Board of Governor's and served a number of years on the New Hampshire Bar Association's Ethics Committee and Committee for Legal Services to the Poor.   • Robert Kirby Award NH Bar Foundation 2003 The Robert E. Kirby Award was established in 1996 to honor the memory of Bob Kirby, a young lawyer "of great skill, civility and good humor" who died that year at the age of 35. The Kirby Award is given to one member of the NH Bar Association each year. The recipient is an attorney 35 years old or younger who demonstrates the traits of civility, courtesy, perspective and excellent advocacy. Prior recipients include NH Federal District Court Judge Joseph Laplante and current NH Attorney General Kelly Ayotte.
