About John T. Pendleton
John Pendleton and his partner Elizabeth Donovan have both been in practice for 23 years. We represent clients in personal injury, Divorce, DUI/DWI, and criminal law. The firm has a strong district court criminal defense practice, including DWI defense. Attorney Elizabeth Donovan and Attorney Pendleton have practiced in all areas of family law, domestic relations, child support and custody areas. Attorney Pendleton is a past recipient of the Robert Kirby Award, recognizing a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association as an outstanding attorney, 35 years old or younger, demonstrating excellent advocacy and personal characteristics. Attorney Pendleton received his B.A. degree from Trinity College and his J.D. degree from the University of Richmond. He currently serves his community as the Immediate Past President and Executive Board Member of Seacoast Mental Health, a community mental health facility primarily serving Rockingham County in New Hampshire. He is a past board member and Executive Board Member for New Hampshire Legal Assistance and the former Vice President of the Board for the New Hampshire Legal Advice and Referral Center. Attorney Pendleton has twice been on the NH Bar Association's Board of Governor's and served a number of years on the New Hampshire Bar Association's Ethics Committee and Committee for Legal Services to the Poor. 2003
The Robert E. Kirby Award was established in 1996 to honor the memory of Bob Kirby, a young lawyer "of great skill, civility and good humor" who died that year at the age of 35. The Kirby Award is given to one member of the NH Bar Association each year. The recipient is an attorney 35 years old or younger who demonstrates the traits of civility, courtesy, perspective and excellent advocacy. Prior recipients include NH Federal District Court Judge Joseph Laplante and current NH Attorney General Kelly Ayotte.
